The Cyprus Citizenship Program, one of Europe's swiftest, operates under the "Scheme for Naturalisation of Investors in Cyprus by Exception" per Section 111A (2) of the Civil Registry Laws of 2002-2013. Enacted on March 19, 2014, the program simplifies procedures and reinforces favorable immigration policies. Under this law, the Cyprus Council of Ministers can grant citizenship by naturalization to foreign entrepreneurs. The regulations, effective May 24, 2013, streamline the process both in terms of time and formalities.
