About the community

Motor City isn't exclusively about racers, despite its moniker. The Dubai Autodrome, with two karting courses for budding racers, dominates the neighbourhood, which has Detroit Street as its major street. Beyond the motors, Motor City is a peaceful residential area. The gated Green Community has family-friendly villas, townhouses, bungalows, and luxury terraced apartments. The parkland-surrounded townhouses and flats of Uptown Motor City complement the scenery. Residents love the laid-back, open-air café culture on the main route at night.

Dining & Thrilling Activities

Motor City has several restaurants but no retail centres. Cafes and restaurants line the centre avenue, which also has pharmacies, banks, hairdressers, and pet businesses. A large Spinneys supermarket and many Mini Marts provide convenience. Culinary excursions include Italian, Indian, Lebanese, and more. The Cycle Bistro serves paleo, sugar-, dairy-, and gluten-free food, while Sumo Sushi & Bento serves Japanese food. 82 American Diner serves hearty American food. Motor City has few bars, although Arabian Ranches and Sports City have numerous.

Motor City has several attractions outside the race circuit. Every Wednesday night, Dubai Autodrome lights up its track for runners, walkers, bikers, and in-line skaters. The Cycle Hub and Revolution Cycles hire bikes for Autodrome evenings and the neighbouring Dubai Cycle Course. Dubai Outdoor Kartdrome offers thrills for adults, while Dubai Indoor Kartdrome welcomes newcomers. Laserdrome Dubai, a birthday party venue, is situated in this entertainment complex. Fitness First offers gyms and workshops, while Kapok Spa and Whiteroom Spa pamper. Motor City isn't on the Metro; however, the F29 bus connects to the Mall of the Emirates.

Urban Comforts & Learning

Between Sports City and Arabian Ranches, Motor City borders Dubai. Its proximity to Sheikh Zayed Road and the Mall of the Emirates (10–15 minutes) makes it easy to get around the UAE. Residents may easily reach Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Sharjah, and the Northern Emirates through E311 Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and E611 Emirates Road. Dubai Investment Park is near Dubai's major international airport and Al Maktoum International Airport, traffic-allowing.

Emirates British Nursery, Building Blocks Nursery, Child Enrichment Centre, and The Wonder Years Nursery are local pre-schools. In Motor City, GEMS Metropole School offers international education from Foundation 1 to Year 10. For further education, JESS Primary and Secondary, Raffles International School, Gems World Academy, the American School of Dubai, and the new Kings School in Al Barsha are all within driving distance or via school bus.
