The Maltese Residency by Investment program, initiated in 2016, provides an avenue for eligible individuals to secure residency. To qualify for this program, applicants must be over 18 years old, in good health, and possess a clean criminal record. Additionally, applicants are required to contribute to Malta's economic development, either through property ownership or leasing, and by investing in government stocks or bonds. Are you 18 or above, in good health, and have a clean record? That's the first step. We'll guide you through due diligence checks and help confirm your investment sources. Your eligible dependents include your, parents, spouse and adult children, whether biological or adopted (Parents and children older than 18 must be dependent on the main applicant).

Time frame & Legalities
The expected time frame for the application process is approximately 6 months, with the initial document collection stage varying based on the applicant's efficiency. Our team facilitates this process, providing samples and best practice advice. The review stage aligns with the Government's schedule, subject to external factors beyond our control as authorized agents. Throughout the entire process, Baytify collaborates closely with the Government, aiming to ensure the quickest and smoothest experience for the applicant.
Citizens of good standing and their families can obtain full Malta Permanent Residency under an amendment to the Maltese Citizenship Act, Chapter 188 of the Laws of Malta, passed in November 2013. Applicants are required to contribute to Malta's economic development, provide proof of one-year residence in Malta, and submit proof of title for the residential property in Malta. This amendment emphasizes the commitment to both economic growth and genuine residence in Malta.
