Golden Visa Program Overview
In 2019, Dubai introduced a distinctive program, the Dubai Golden Visa, aimed at promoting foreign investment and creating a tax-free environment. This initiative is designed to attract and retain top talents across various sectors, providing international investors with the opportunity to establish a legal presence in Dubai and secure a prosperous future for their families and businesses.
The Dubai Golden Visa is open to investors, entrepreneurs, business owners, professionals, and specialized talents. Holders of the Golden Visa can reside, work, and study in the UAE without the requirement of a national sponsor, allowing them to maintain 100% ownership of their businesses on the country's mainland.

Eligibility & Benefits
The UAE Golden Visa requirements vary depending on the type of residency sought, whether for investors, talents, or entrepreneurs. Investors in public investments can obtain a 10-year visa without a sponsor by submitting a letter from a UAE-accredited investment fund confirming a deposit of AED 2 million, a valid commercial or industrial license with a memorandum of association indicating a capital of at least AED 2 million, or a letter from the Federal Tax Authority confirming annual government payments of no less than AED 250,000. Additionally, the invested capital must be fully owned and not a loan, and proof of medical insurance for the investor and their family is required.
Real estate investors can secure up to 10 years Golden visa without a sponsor by providing a letter from the land department confirming ownership of property or properties valued at no less than AED 2 million, or proof of purchasing a property with a loan from approved local banks. Entrepreneurs are eligible for a 5-year visa if they own a technical or future-oriented economic project, supported by approval letters from an auditor confirming the project's value of at least AED 500,000, emirate authorities attesting to the project's technical or future nature, and an accredited business incubator for establishing the activity.
Outstanding specialized talents, including doctors, scientists, artists, inventors, executives, specialists in scientific fields, athletes, and doctoral degree holders in fields like epidemiology, AI, big data, and various engineering disciplines, may qualify for a 10-year visa. Specific requirements include an approval letter from the Ministry of Health and Prevention for doctors, a recommendation letter from the Emirates Council of Scientists or the Secretariat of the Mohammed bin Rashid Medal for Scientific Excellence for scientists, a recommendation letter from the Ministry of Economy for inventors, and an approval letter from the department of culture and arts in the respective emirate for creative individuals in culture and art.
