Introduced in October 1994, the United Kingdom initiated the Immigrant Investor Program, extending residence visas to non-EEA (and non-Swiss) investors. In February 2008, the Points Based System (PBS) was introduced, replacing the previous work permit system and managing migration from outside the EEA. In accordance with Part 6A of the UK Immigration Rules, specifically the Points-based system (paragraphs 245AAA to 245ZZE), individuals meeting the stipulated requirements are eligible to apply for entry, indefinite leave to remain, and, if eligible, British citizenship through the process of naturalization.
